On September 12, 2024, CMKL University proudly received the HGX H200 PoC—marking the arrival of Asia's first NVIDIA H200. This milestone was made possible through a groundbreaking partnership with SIAM AI, an NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP), which provided cutting-edge technology as part of the HGX H200 1,024-GPU cluster following NVIDIA’s advanced architecture.


SIAM AI, an NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP), currently operates a powerful cluster of 1,024 NVIDIA H100 GPUs. Leveraging its partnership with NVIDIA, SIAM AI has secured the privilege of being the first in Asia to receive the NVIDIA H200 server. On September 12, 2024, SIAM AI proudly delivered this cutting-edge H200 PoC (Proof of Concept) server to CMKL University, showcasing the technology's capabilities. SIAM AI plans to expand its offerings with a full cluster of H200 GPUs at a future date, further enhancing its advanced AI computing infrastructure.

This collaboration is set to propel AI research and innovation at CMKL University to new heights. With access to the state-of-the-art HGX H200, students and researchers will now have the opportunity to explore revolutionary advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. 

This breakthrough is part of CMKL’s broader commitment to being at the forefront of AI development, positioning Thailand as a leader in the ASEAN region.

During the launch event, CMKL University presented a full showcase of the university’s capabilities, highlighted key research initiatives, and gave attendees an exclusive look at upcoming projects, including the development of multi-modal technology for the Thai language. A campus tour further emphasized the university’s dedication to fostering an environment of innovation and growth.

Dr. Akkarit Sangpetch, Program Director at CMKL University and head of the AI Engineering Institute (AIEI), expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “CMKL University is dedicated to providing AI expertise that will propel Thailand into a leadership role within the ASEAN community and drive the growth of the country's AI industry. Through collaboration with our global partners, we aim to provide the expertise and essential computing infrastructure needed to foster AI innovation in Thailand.”
